cont'd: sightseeing days

Assalamualaikum

Since i still get free time with me for now, i'll update the so so out of date experiences here before the memory get washed away.

On the third day of sightseeing, we went to museums; Natural History Museum and Science Museum. To get there, we rode on tube and getting off at South Kensington station. From the station, you actually can access three museums that located just a walk away from each other. The other one that we didn't go to, due to hungriness and tiredness is Victoria & Albert museum. At first i thought this V & A just another gallery of art, later back in malaysia only i got to know that this museum actually restores so many of our historic artifacts. Such a waste for us not to go! The fee administration for the museums are free though you might have to queue to enter Natural History's on holidays. The main attraction for that museum is dinosaur! And for the Science museum, like its name, more scientific based, and fun too. Each museum has many sections, in which i didn't explore all of them. Believe me, you wouldn't get to just in a day to tour the big museums, except that you get an energy booster with you. Later in the evening, we just chilled in the bed as everyone was tired already.

so historical, isn't it? -natural history museum

the very first MRI invented. the yellow colour was so astounding, at least for me

On the fourth day, we went to hospital in the morning for farewell greetings with the staffs from the center. Then, we separated into two, as three of us went to Madame Tussaud, while mieza and i chilled to Trafalgar Square and National Gallery. That was the first time for us to travel without our i-navigator, the only man in the group. Guess what, our girls power survived, clear and safe! To get to Trafalgar Square, the place famed for the doves that scattered around (now it's not), you can ride on tube and getting off at Charing Cross station, or you can ride on bus straight away. Next, we headed to Whitechapel which is in Zone 2 for a met up with a friend of us back in mrsm. I was totally impressed of that girl, the way she carried herself, so independent and yet she never change from what i've known her since four years back. She brought us to New Cross by overground to do some chocolate groceries. If you ever want to buy good chocolates at really reasonable pounds, go to Aldi store. Aldi has its own chocolate brand, and its not established yet here in Malaysia. So its perfect for souvenirs.

here's the store

thanks izzah for bringing us there

And for the fifth day, which is the last day of our sightseeing days in London, mieza and i decided to go to Royal Albert Hall by getting off the tube at South Kensington, which we lost our way. Giving up, we headed to another famous landmark, Piccadilly Circus. This piccadilly circus is another busy place as it is actually the junction of busy streets. There also many branded shops installed along the road like in Oxford St but still less than the oxford. On the other road, there are so many other attractions like musical things; Mamma Mia's theatre, Ripleys's museum and etc. If you get here, do take picture with the bronze fountain, it's like the symbol or the heart of Piccadilly circus.

Taking a stroll, we found the hidden Chinatown of London. Nothing interesting there, you can actually give it a pass at least if there is any festivals going on.

Next, we headed to Oxford St again to spend leftover pounds, this time by riding on tube and getting off at Oxford Circus station. Among the shops in we ever went into were Primark (a store that can be considered affordable and cheap compared to any other), Carpisa, Office, Thortons, M & S, Clarks, Adidas, Uniqlo, and blah blah i couldn't remember. But we never stepped into the big jaws like Selfridge, Zara, Miss Selfridge and other tongue twisters names. And also Harrods (which is not in Oxford St)!! we missed it!! Absolutely what a shame though i'm dying to give a taste on its macaroon.

Back in our guest house, after the last lunch in Bonda Cafe, mieza and I walked to Hyde Park to bid farewell to the doves :'( . Sadden, we took a last stroll around the Hyde Park till we found Royal Albert Hall, finally. Instead of going back to Sussex Garden by walking, we decided to rode on bus and we got stranded in Hammersmith, miles away from Paddington. It was about 8 pm something in the evening and two girls lost their way in the middle of nowhere, thanks God that it was summer. Panicking, we once again lost our way by getting on the wrong tube. But Alhamdulillah after lot of sweats and nerves, we could find our way back at 9 pm. :)

i love the breeze at the park

buhbye birdies

Royal Albert Hall

merchandise, anyone?

will i go back here, someday?

On the next day, we were on our way back home already. Malaysia, you are so hot, giving me a jag of sweats and a week long sore throat, still i love my hometown better though i heart London too.

goodbye, till we meet again London!
