sightseeing days

Assalamualaikum

This is so out of date entry.

Our first day of touring london was so a brand new rollicking adventures. It was the first time to everything; using oyster cards, riding on tubes(underground train) and buses, getting lost in the middle of sea of people and getting shocked of those eye popping price tags at oxford st. So our first destination was to Portobello Market as it was saturday and that flea market is only on saturday morning. Thanks to a friend of mine for suggesting the place. From paddington, we used to ride on tube and getting off at notting hill gate station. If you want to find something at reasonable price ( i can't say cheap as everything in London to me is expensive, hell yeah as i used to convert everything back to RM in every purchases!) as souveniers, Portobello market is the place. And it's famous for antique things too.

2 handsome mat sallehs were eating while walking..haha

among those antique shops, here is one.

i told you, it really was a sea of people!!

After having lunch at Bonda cafe (again!) we went to the world renowned Oxford Street. We rode on the bus, which actually we took the right bus on the wrong side. Fortunately that the driver was a muslim, and chit chatted a bit, he joked on by telling us no good to go tp oxford st as it was full of crazy b****es. I wondered why la kan. Frankly to say, it was, at least to my point of view, or maybe because it was weekend? There lots and lots and lots of shopaholics (women mostly) there. And the shops? Posh is their first name, except for certain shops that i stepped my foot on. I can't stand spending my money there with those crazy amount of classy people. But i had to, for the sake that idk other places to buy souvenirs to special persons at 'special pounds' .And you know what, while shopping in Uniqlo, i happen to be the only one using cash. If you want to go to this famed oxford st, do act as one with big pocket or you might end up being looked down by those big head sales girl and sales boy, like they own the place! And being a muslim girl who wears scarf, it even harder. Told you what, on that day, there at least 3 arabian women that we met, begging people to spare some change for their babies with the same reason. They operated at those branded shops. I could stand it and bought the reason if it was just a person, but with three people with three same reason? Like there was a plan, or mastermind behind. Why would you do that sisters? With those perfectly seated long dark robes and scarfs, what would they think of us? Enough with the craps from the media, you just stir it up, the prejudice on us. Still, the truth lies within Allah's knowledge. Islam has its own community in London, and i'd seen a big one in Whitechapel, i bet the muslims there could help you, but why focus on oxford st? I was sad, and i am. Uhh sorry for the emo part..

first timer

second last day; upgrading the limit of purchase

On second day, we headed to Buckingham's Palace to see the changing guards! Riding on the tube, and stepped off at St James's station. We were early, thus came camwhoring parts. I couldn't see the changing guards clearly as there also hell lots of people just coming here to see the ceremony. Plus you could only see them behind the fence. Miza, pija and I gave it up in the middle, while those two; alia and pidin were the eager watcher, stood behind the fence from the beginning till the end!

snapping while waiting

here they came

we gave in to the crowds

Next, our stop was River Thames! By tube, we headed out at Westminster station. At this memorable station we learnt a truly great thing. Beware of those people who at first offer you anything. As after giving you thing that was claimed as free before, they will redeem money from you with some cheap reasons. They are taking advantages on foreigners mostly. I was angry at that woman, how i wish i had mary kate olsen's power in beastly movie to cast a bad spell on her! Totally spoiling our mood!

So, after those maki seranah, we still headed to Eye of London and River Cruise. But of course la everyone still in shocked state and being so not in mood to talk after the incident ><. We just rode on those things, melayari hati yang duka. It was great though and i love riding on the cruise the most (plus the captain was so handsome!!).

you can't miss these two-big ben & house of parliament

checking on ticket- we took a package of cruise + London eye that cost about 2+ pounds
